By TER Staff
The Los Angeles Police Department is
investigating a top Los Angeles City bureaucrat Andrew Adelman, the head of the Los Angeles Dept. of Building and Safety, following the alleged drugging and rape of a woman last month.
Aldeman is suspected of a horrific sex crime, according to a copy of a search warrant obtained exclusively by The Enterprise Report.
As for the details of the alleged crime (read them for yourself below), so far sources familiar with the case say they don't think they have enough evidence to arrest and charge the official - yet.
Detectives from the LAPD's elite Robbery Homicide Division have been investigating the case for almost a month.
The LAPD is expected to make a statement later today.
UPDATE: The Mayor of Los Angeles has placed Adelman on "administrative leave".
