The Enterprise Report (TER) the online investigative and enterprise journalism news site has been nominated as a finalist by the Los Angeles Press Club for the best online only news site in Southern California. The online news site was launced in 2007 and previously won the prize in 2008.
The 2012 Los Angeles Press Club 54th Annual Southern California Journalism Awards are one of the largest journalism awards programs in the country. The awards will be handed out at a gala event on June 24th at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.
The Enterprise Report news site is run by veteran national award-winning independent producer and investigative Journalist Eric Longabardi. Longabardi is a two-time winner of Los Angeles Press Club's 'TV Journalist of the Year' Award (2000 & 2008), as well as being a finalist in 2008 and again in 2010 for 'Online Journalst of the Year' honors. Longabardi is a finalist this year for 'Print Journalist of the Year' for his investigative and feature reporting as a special correspondent for his hometown newspaper, The Newport Beach Independent.

In addition to this year's LA Press Club awards nomination, The Enterprise Report site was a runner-up for the same award in 2010. It has also garnered other journalism awards from the Los Angeles Press Club since the news site was founded in 2007. Longabardi previously served as a Los Angeles Press Club Board of Director.
The LA Press Club awards are judged by journalists at Press Club's outside of Los Angeles, so as not to be influenced by petty political biases of journalists who know and work and compete against each other here in Southern California.
In the past the judges of LA Press Club Southern California Journalism awards have said this about The Enterprise Report "The world needs more investigative reporters, and it’s refreshing to find those who have the patience, focus and fortitude to do the hard work."
